Join the Great Backyard Bird Count at the Randall Davey Audubon Center! Beginner birders are welcome to drop in between 10 a.m.-12 p.m. to learn about the local birds living in Santa Fe and try out birding for free!
We will have:
- Information table about the Great Backyard Bird Count
- Learn how to identify birds and use binoculars
- Free binoculars to borrow
- Introductions to using various apps and field guides
- Volunteers on-hand to get you started
Visitors are welcome to explore the garden and trails at their own pace throughout the morning.
Birders of all experience levels are also invited to join the regular Saturday bird walk from 8:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. This free program meets in the classroom and moves through the garden and grounds, guided by a volunteer docent.
