LumaTerra is proud to partner with the Randall Davey Audubon Center to offer Forest Bathing Walks this year! Forest Bathing is a relaxation and therapy practice inspired by the Japanese tradition of shinrin-yoku. Spend the morning in quiet and calm reflection amongst the trees of Bear Canyon, guided through meditative prompts by trained forest therapy guide, Moy Bergquist. Participants will move at a very slow, reflective pace up the trail to Bear Canyon before a guided meditation while sitting, standing, or laying in the ponderosa forest.
These slow, meditative walks invite deep connection with nature, as well as scientifically supported benefits such as reduced stress, lowered blood pressure, strengthened immunity, and improved mood. Many participants also report a sense of awe, timelessness, or a feeling of being gently held by something greater- a quiet magic that unfolds when we attune to the natural world. Experience the healing and inspiring energy of the forest in one of Santa Fe's most beautiful natural sanctuaries.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:Moy Bergquist is a double-certified forest therapy guide offering immersive, sensory-rich walks designed to awaken presence and deepen connection—with self, with others, and with the natural world. Rooted in both ancient traditions and modern science, her guided experiences go far beyond a simple walk in the woods. Through carefully crafted invitations and mindful engagement, participants are supported in slowing down, restoring balance, and remembering their place in the living web of life. Moy is certified ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, and also a Reiki Master, and sound healing practitioner. To learn more about forest bathing and Moy, click here.
